Farewell, Fathom Forum

By Kurt Krejny | July 13, 2010

After years of operation, we have decided to shut down the Fathom SEO Forum. We noticed the forum participation was dwindling down and unfortunately it was getting bombarded with SPAM. Forums can definitely can serve a purpose on the web, but we feel the Blog and social accounts continue to be our best outlets to showcase our expertise and answer questions on timely online marketing related topics.

We would like to thank everyone that participated in the threads on any and every topic related to online marketing, specifically with search engine marketing… but don’t stop the momentum! We encourage the forum users to continue participating via the Blog and our Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube accounts.

So, again a big thank you to all the forum contributors! Please join us in saying farewell to the Fathom SEO Forum, and feel free to leave a comment below with your favorite memories.

Googler, now is the chance to reveal yourself… or the mystery of your identity will be left for the ages!

So sad! I worked really hard to get that forum up-and-running!

Art, I certainly do remember all your work, and specifically you helping to get the RSS feed set up. Thank you!

First LeBron, and now this. ;-) Actually, I totally agree that the Forum had its positive aspects, but the spammers really spoiled some of the fun,

I think that many questions were answered for people just starting out in search engine optimization, email marketing and pay-per-click advertising. Heck, it wasn’t just newbie questions.

I’d really encourage anyone that has questions or wants our opinion on these topics to contact us or comment in the threads here at the blog! (As long as it isn’t just to drop links to your client’s lousy wedding dress website)
