Do Other Search Engines Besides Google Matter?
By Jim Kukral | May 2, 2007
We all know that Google is the big bananna, sure. There’s an interesting post over in our search forum today.
I’m curious. I know Google is the 800 lb. gorilla. But do you recommend that a small business should look at other, less widely used search engines?

Good question. There was a piece in Read/Write Web today that talked about the 100 alternative search engines. There are some interesting niche engines in that list. Definitely worth a look!

Google is definitely the “big guy” in the search engine category, but many consumers are staying true to many others. Yahoo!, MSN, Ask, lycos, and more still remain a solid resource in the SE industry. Don’t just focus your time on Google or you will be missing a lot of potential clients.
