Critics Are Wrong: SEO Takes Time

SEO critics just don’t understand how natural search engine optimization works.

A leading PPC company executive essentially describes SEO as a one-time event - that ongoing optimization really isn’t necessary and that you can do all of this in-house (see the DMNews article).

None of that is true. If there is anything close to realty, it’s that sites can succeed without SEO consultants - to an extent. If you get the right keywords and content and somehow write decent title tags and META data, yes, you can get visibility and traffic. But you’re bumping up against the ceiling of your skills and knowledge. How do you make headway or get something to rank #5 when it’s #15?

As with other marketing, SEO involves a lot of testing based on wisdom.
