American Internet users sure love search engines

American Internet users sure love search engines.E-mail may still be the most popular activity, but search engine use remains a strong second, according to Pew Internet & American Life tracking surveys.
For example, the number of people using search engines on an average day is now about 59 million (September 2005) – up from 38 million in June 2004. Similarly, comScore data, based on different methodology, indicates that from September 2004 to September 2005 average daily use of search engines increased from 49.3 million users to 60.7 million users –a 23% jump.
