Businesses Don’t Get Search Engine Marketing
By Mike Murray | April 14, 2005
Fathom SEO, based in Cleveland, Ohio, just released a white paper, “Search Engine Marketing: Get in the Game.”The report notes that many ill-informed businesses will make poor spending decisions or miss out altogether as the search engine marketing industry grows to $13.5 billion in 2007.
Companies often lack basic search engine marketing skills, perspective and critical performance measurements for successful programs.
The search engine marketing white paper includes data from more than 20 diverse sources and poses a series of challenging questions companies can weigh before launching or expanding a search engine marketing program. It also features Internet searcher behavior trends, traps to avoid, primary search engine marketing terminology and ethical practices.

I am pretty new to this stuff, is the report still worth it today, or is most of the info contained common knowledge. I cannot find pricing without entering a lot of info.
