December 7, 2006 Michael Murray, our vice president of search engine marketing, presented quick SEO tips during the “75-Minute Search Abs” session at the December 2006 Search Engine Strategies conference in Chicago. During the conference, WebProNews interviewed Michael about the industry’s reputation and how to best conduct a competitive analysis: Michael has been active in the search engine optimization field since 1997. A journalist by trade, he graduated from Kent State University in 1986. He speaks frequently at local, regional and national conferences, including the American Marketing Association (Cleveland), Search Engine Strategies in Chicago, NewYork City and San Jose and What’s Working Now!, a B2B marketing event recently held in Cincinnati. He writes for WebProNews, iMedia Connection and ReveNews. He has authored SEO guides and white papers (including “Search Engine Marketing: Get in the Game”). In addition, Michael led SEO research projects (i.e. how 350 health care and 350 manufacturers use SEO). Michael and the Fathom SEO team work closely with businesses and organizations of all sizes.
